Lyrican grew up on the streets of greater manchester. He started spittin in 2004 at the age of just 16. He made his name ripping up underground open mics and freestylin on radio. Towards the end of 04 he went on to win urban superstars, which was held at bridge water hall in front of a crowd of 3,000. After he won, he knew music was all he wanted to persue and so he did. Towards the end of the year he met hoodman and they immediatley hooked up in the studio and collabed. At the start of 2005, he was taken on board by a management company called (uk-team). Before he knew it he had a video on mtv base and channel u, regular slots on the tim westwood show and the ras qwame homegrown show on 1xtra and three mixtape releases under his belt. Since then he has toured the country three times with hoodman and had much recognition. The mancunian candidates is their last official mixtape until after the album which they are currently working on. 2009 will be a defining year for them, especially with the album having such high expectations. Critics have already stated that Lyrican could be the one to put the uk on the rap map on a global scale. The industry is no push over but they keep pushing and the door is bound to fly off it’s hinges sooner or later!!! keep your ears and your eyes open, Lyrican is here and repping Zen & Fuka all the way….
